Safety is a value that is fundamental to Accu-Crete’s work philosophy. Nothing is more important than the health and welfare of our people. While safety is everyone’s concern, at Accu-Crete our management carries the responsibility to provide a safe work environment to all of its employees. Our company programs are structured to meet or exceed industry standards for health, safety and the environment.

Our Safety Commitment

We take a proactive approach to safety and risk prevention by creating a safety plan specific to your project and site. This is done in conjunction with the creation of your customized construction plan. Accu-Crete’s safety program complies with all federal, state and local regulations, with emphasis on the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) requirements for construction operations.

Heavy Equipment Experts

Workers are always trained on the proper procedures to safely operate all pieces of equipment they will be working on. Training should be conducted as a combination of classroom and practical hands-on instruction. Topics that should be covered include safety, hazard identifications, safety features of the equipment and safe maneuvering of the heavy equipment.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

We always train workers on the safe and proper way to operate equipment and on the selection and use of personal protective equipment (PPE). We train every level of the organization on OSHA standards for eye, head, hands, and foot protective gear that keeps our valued employees safe so they can complete the job safely.

Fall Prevention & Risk Mitigation

It’s not a surprise that the top four most frequently cited OSHA standards in construction have to do with protecting workers from falls. Falls are the leading cause of fatalities in construction, accounting for nearly 40% of all worker deaths. Accu-Crete is committed to providing proper and ongoing training to workers reducing the number of falls suffered at the construction site.

Vendor Safety Vetting

We fully vet all subcontractors on their safety records and ask to review their written safety program. Once selected, we work with subcontractors to help develop the safety plan as they can provide valuable insight specific to their trade. Make sure subcontractor agreements cover adhering to your site safety plan so you can hold them accountable.

Formwork Competence

Formwork used in the construction industry must be designed, fabricated, erected, supported, braced and maintained so that it can support all vertical and horizontal loads that will be exerted. Accu-Crete takes detailed and specific safety precautions when dealing with formwork.
